History of a leading central London estate agent.
Manors roots have been firmly entrenched in London's Baker Street since the company was first established in 1975. Initially based at 36 Baker Street in first floor offices on the corner of Blandford Street.
London's iconic Baker Street has been our home since 1975, and over the years has expanded to become what it is today, one of the leading Central London estate agents.
Initially, we resided at 36 Baker Street, and occupied the first two floors. The area looked very different then, and we can still remember the stores that lined the street below.
Over the next decade our reputation within the community grew as we established ourselves in the Marylebone property market.
Our client base rapidly expanded and we started to forge many of the relationships with vendors, buyers and investors that we still retain and nurture today.
Key location
It felt like the right time to move to a more spacious office; location was key, and we knew that we wanted to stay on Baker Street. Ideally we wanted a street level space, so we would be visible to passers by, and luckily, in 1993 suitable premises became available at 26 Baker Street. Around the same time we established a new residential sales division, in order to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive market. The division quickly went from strength to strength, which resulted in another move just two years later.
